Born in Japan in 1992 of Argentinian heritage,  Maia Cabeza is the First Prize winner of the 2013 Leopold Mozart International Violin Competition. She has performed as a soloist with many orchestras including St. Petersburg State Symphony Orchestra, Munich Radio Orchestra, Philadelphia Orchestra and Detroit Symphony, among others. As a passionate chamber musician, she has performed at Marlboro Music Festival, Prussia Cove OCM, Rheingau, Verbier, and Kronberg “Chamber Music Connects the World”. Currently, she is studying with Antje Weithaas at the Hochschule für Musik “Hanns Eisler” Berlin.
